RDP in vista

Does the RDP 6.0 in Vista support 'audio input'? Would I be able to access my desktop from a remote site and use the local host to send the mic to the desktop and then out?

You can use the local hardware resources, I don't know anything about VOIP, if you need that type of functionality, use Windows Live Messenger 8 which supports PC to PC calls. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

RDP 5 did not support bi-directional audio between the local host and the remote desktop. Are you saying that RDP 6 will support bi-directional audio between the local host and the remote desktop?
This is very new if it is the case. Do you know of an article that I can read that discusses all the new features that relate to local hardware resources that can be published on the remote desktop? My focus is this audio paradigm.
I would be very appreciative if you could point me to the detail on this...
thanks,
rr.

Billy,
I see you want to remote control a PC and have Audio I/O over a WAN. I don't think this is practical for a home user on a normal internet connection at least I have not seen it. I use Open Source VNC client / servers with heavy encryption they are free and much more focused than Microsoft remote desktop which is part of an OS not a dedicated app.
Have a scout round VNCs pages and ask questions there, if anybody can do what you ask these boys are favourite.

Interesting proposition though (remote control VOIP) I will have to try it myself now. I am using Vonage VOIP with dedicated routers so it should be easy.
hmmmmmmm!
